Terms and Conditions

The booking of accommodation is a contract between our two parties. Anchorage Motel Apartments will provide the accommodation and services described and agreed.

A valid credit card will be required upon checkin where the card will be pre-authorised.

The guest undertakes to pay for the accommodation booked unless it has been cancelled by them in accordance with the following cancellation policy:

Basic outline of policy (for individuals):

  • If you cancel more than 48 hours before your booking, there is no charge.
  • If you cancel within the 48-hour period, there may be a charge. If you fail to arrive for your booking, you will be liable for the full booking cost.

Below is the legal version and should be read in conjunction with the summary above.

Cancellation Policy as it pertains to individuals:

  1. If you cancel your booking more than 48 hours before midday of your expected day of arrival, a full refund of any deposit paid will be forwarded to you.
  2. If you cancel your booking within the 48-hour period before midday of your expected day of arrival and we are able to re-let the rooms, you will receive a full refund of your deposit paid. If we are unable to let the rooms booked by you, Anchorage Motel Apartments reserves the right to retain your deposit.
  3. If you have issued your credit card details as a means of reserving the room and no deposit has been given or taken, and section 2 above applies, then Anchorage Motel Apartments reserves the right to debit your credit card for half the expected cost of the room booked by you.
  4. If you have paid a deposit by cheque, cash, credit card or any other means and you cancel on the day you are due to arrive or there is no prior notification of cancellation and you fail to arrive, then Anchorage Motel Apartments reserves the right to retain the deposit paid. In cases where the deposit does not cover the actual loss incurred, Anchorage Motel Apartments reserves the right to issue an invoice for the balance.
  5. If you have issued your credit card details as a means of reserving the room and no deposit has been given or taken, and you cancel on the day you are due to arrive or there is no prior notification of cancellation and you fail to arrive, then Anchorage Motel Apartments reserves the right to debit your credit card for the full amount of the expected room cost.
  6. In all situations described above, where a deposit has not been paid and credit card details have not been issued, Anchorage Motel Apartments reserves the right to issue an invoice for the appropriate amount.

Cancellation Policy as it pertains to Group Bookings:

  1. If you cancel your booking more than 28 days before midday of your expected day of arrival, a full refund of any deposit paid will be forwarded to you.
  2. If you cancel your booking within the 28-day period before midday of your expected day of arrival and we are able to re-let the rooms, you will receive a full refund of your deposit paid. If we are unable to let all the rooms booked by you, Anchorage Motel Apartments reserves the right to retain such a portion of your deposit so as to cover half the expected room cost of the vacant rooms.
  3. If you have issued your credit card details as a means of reserving the rooms and no deposit has been given or taken, and section 2 above applies, then Anchorage Motel Apartments reserves the right to debit your credit card for half the expected cost of the vacant rooms booked by you.
  4. If you have paid a deposit by cheque, cash, credit card or any other means and you cancel on the day you are due to arrive or there is no prior notification of cancellation and you fail to arrive, then Anchorage Motel Apartments reserves the right to retain the deposit paid. In cases where the deposit does not cover the actual loss incurred, Anchorage Motel Apartments reserves the right to issue an invoice for the balance.
  5. If you have issued your credit card details as a means of reserving the room and no deposit has been given or taken, and you cancel on the day you are due to arrive or there is no prior notification of cancellation and you fail to arrive, then Anchorage Motel Apartments reserves the right to debit your Credit Card for the full amount of the expected rate of the rooms booked by you.
  6. In all situations described above, where a deposit has not been paid and credit card details have not been issued, Anchorage Motel Apartments reserves the right to issue an invoice for the appropriate amount.

Deposit:

  • Please use the following criteria when calculating the deposit needed. Single night booking = 50% of the room rate. Multiple night booking = 1st night’s room rate.
  • Check-in is available from 2pm on the day of arrival. Check-out time is 10am on the day of departure. Early check-in and/or check-out is by arrangement only.
  • Payment for all accommodation must be made in full on the day of departure (if not already done so).
  • Overdue/recovery charges may be made if your account is not paid on time. For groups and sports teams, special conditions for payment will be advised.
  • No visitors are allowed in rooms after 10pm. Any damage to the room or property may be charged, plus a charge for any resultant loss of income if applicable.
  • Anchorage Motel Apartments is a NON-SMOKING establishment. If you do smoke inside, you will be charged appropriate cleaning and loss of income charges.
